On August 1, 2021, Pigeon Corporation began using ENEOS Corporation’s “CO2-Free Electricity (100% Renewable Energy from the Muroran Biomass Power Plant)” to power its head office in Chuo, Tokyo. This makes Pigeon’s head office the first Pigeon Group location to use 100% renewable energy, and will reduce annual CO2 emissions by around 252 tons.* The initiative forms part of Pigeon Corporation’s response to climate change, one of the individual issues identified for its “Sustainable reduction of environmental impact” materiality (key issue).

About ENEOS Corporation’s CO2-Free Electricity Menu

  • This electricity is supplied by ENEOS Corporation, which procures the necessary J-Credits and Non-Fossil Fuel Certificates to ensure that the CO2 emissions associated with its use are 0 tons per kWh.
