Switching to Environmentally Friendlier Packaging (Thailand)
2026.03.16
The Pigeon Group is working to reduce its environmental impact according to the Pigeon Green Action Plan in order to leave a richer earth for tomorrow’s babies.
In 2025, we switched the packaging used for skincare products sold primarily in Singapore from tubes with multilayered walls to monomaterial tubes that are much easier to recycle.

Maintaining Quality while Addressing Environmental Concerns
In the past, our skincare product packaging has generally had walls with a multilayered structure, in which a layer of material serving as a barrier is sandwiched between layers of plastic. This helped to preserve the quality of products such as creams meant for use on babies’ skin, but the multilayered structure meant that the packaging couldn’t be broken down into separate materials, making it difficult to recycle.
With this initiative, we’ve adopted a unique film structure that offers high barrier performance (able to preserve quality) using a single material. This makes the entire packaging, including the cap, recyclable. We also revised the design to reduce the amount of plastic used.

From our Staff: One Small Step Toward a Better World
Nurturing babies is nurturing the future they’ll live in. The road to recyclable tubes was by no means an easy path. Quality, safety, sustainability—preserving all three required countless tests and repeated rounds of trial and error into which we poured both love and dedication.
We believe that even the tiniest step can have immense meaning. The minor choices we make every day add up over time to a greener, kinder tomorrow. For the sake of our precious children and this planet, we will continue to embrace these challenges.
