The Pigeon Group provides products and services for babies requiring specialist care—including preterm babies, low birthweight babies, and babies needing treatment for illness or physical conditions—and their families. In 2025, PIGEON INDIA PVT.LTD released a new “Paladai Baby Feeder” based on the paladai cups traditionally used in India to feed newborn babies.

What Are the Traditional Indian Feeding Devices Known as Paladai Cups?

Paladai cups are cup-shaped feeding devices made of metal and used to give milk or formula to babies who have difficulty drinking directly from the breast or a nursing bottle, particularly preterm and low birthweight babies. They allow babies to feed even if they have only weak sucking abilities, but concerns have been raised over hygiene and safety.

Paladai Baby Feeder Features

The Paladai Baby Feeder was developed to combine the merits of traditional paladai cups with improved hygiene and durability. Its 100% silicone construction is kinder on babies’ delicate mouths, allowing them to drink without spilling. It is also a sustainable product, made to be reused and easy to clean.
By June 2025, more than 30,000 Paladai Baby Feeders had been sold to distributors, with medical professionals, distributors, and users praising the product as a unique idea well executed.

We will continue offering products to suit the needs of babies requiring specialist care, supporting the healthy development of all babies and happiness and peace of mind for their families.
