Supporting children with cancer (UK)

LANSINOH LABORATORIES UK (“Lansinoh UK”) supports children with childhood cancer. In July 2024, Lansinoh UK took part in a charity event called Total Warrior to raise funds for this purpose. The funds raised were donated to Candlelighters, an organization that supports children with childhood cancer.

Participation in Total Warrior

Total Warrior is the UK’s largest steeplechase event, and has been held in the Yorkshire city of Leeds since 2010. Funds raised through the event are donated to several charities that support social issues. In July 2024, eight members of Lansinoh UK participated. These employees got good and muddy overcoming fifteen tough obstacles to reach the finish line, ultimately raising over £1,000.

Organization supported

Funds raised by Lansinoh UK were donated to Candlelighters. Candlelighters’ vision is to bring light and hope to all families affected by childhood cancer in Yorkshire. Their activities include running cottages for children with cancer and their families and investing in cancer research. As Candlelighters is based in Leeds, where Lansinoh UK’s office is located, Lansinoh UK decided to make the donation as a way of supporting a local organization.

Impressions of the event

Some employees know people who were treated for cancer with the help of Candlelighters, and employees who took part said that it was a wonderful way to support a charity close to their hearts and a great team-building event. A Candlelighters representative said,“We truly appreciate your participation in Total Warrior for Candlelighters.”

We will continue to support children and their families as they fight illness.
