In May 2022, Thai Pigeon Co., Ltd. was honored at Thailand Quality Prize 2022* with gold awards for Support QCC and Task Achieving QCC and a silver award for Junior Manufacturing QCC. This marks the third year the company has received awards at the event, which first recognized Thai Pigeon in 2016.
QCC is a bottom-up improvement activity in which teams of employees take the lead in identifying and resolving problems on the front lines.

* Thailand Quality Prize is run by the Technology Promotion Association (Thailand–Japan), or TPA, with the goal of encouraging technological exchange and competition between companies. Its awards recognize businesses that meet strict criteria for quality control cycle (QCC) initiatives.

At Thai Pigeon, in 2021, more than 35% of employees participated in QCC projects that were started in 2011. Participants were actively sought not only from manufacturing-related departments but also from administrative functions. The initiatives recognized at Thailand Quality Prize 2022 included a project in the manufacturing department to reduce defect rates when manufacturing and printing nursing bottles, and a human resources project to save time when calculating compensation.
These projects have not only improved productivity and cut costs on the factory floor, they have also improved the problem-solving abilities of employees, made work at Thai Pigeon more meaningful, and helped build team spirit.

Thai Pigeon plans to cultivate master trainers in the company’s Singapore business who can lead Pigeon Group employees, and launch a QCC Pigeon Contest in 2025.

We will continue striving through QCC activities not only to improve product quality but also to create a more lively and inspiring work environment for employees.
