Pigeon has thoroughly researched baby's sucking behaviors.
“Babies suck milk from their mothers’ breasts by repeating three behaviors: attachment, peristaltic tongue movement, and swallowing (sucking behaviors). Pigeon’s nursing bottle has been developed after years of research so that babies can make these movements naturally and can be used comfortably by most babies who use a nursing bottle for the first time. Moms (mothers) can use Pigeon’s nursing bottle easily whenever they need to feed babies pumped breast milk using a nursing bottle, using a nursing bottle in combination with breastfeeding, and mainly mild feeding babies.”
Materials and sizes according to each age in months allow babies to dirnk easily from the bottle
“There are four sizes (SS, S, M, L) for the nipple. They all look almost the same; however, the internal shapes of babies’ mouths change as the age in months increases, and accordingly, the intensity of the sucking movement increases. Therefore, we have adopted different specifications, including the shapes of nipples and holes, the sizes of the tip of nipples, the strength of materials, and the thickness for each size of nipples, according to babies’ stage of development.
Moreover, different hole shapes have been adopted to maintain the appropriate flow of milk by observing babies drinking milk using an ultrasonic echo in order to prevent choking.
This nipple is made of the material called silicone. We do not use any marketed products but have blended raw materials to develop our own silicone material. This is why we can produce a nipple with the ideal consistency and thickness according to babies’ stage of development. As these nipples are actually put in babies’ mouths, we comply with the Food Sanitation Act as a matter of course; in addition, we have established strict standards to ensure safety management, which include the items if appropriate strength is maintained even after it is sterilized in boiling water for many hours or if it does not break even if it is pulled with a strength of 10 kg.
Pigeon's nursing bottle supports mothers trying hard to raise their babies
When moms (mothers) are tired and want to rest or want to go out to refresh themselves, such as going to a hairdresser’s or going shopping, if pumped breast milk is preserved, dads (fathers) can feed it to babies using a nursing bottle by themselves. In addition, Pigeon’s nursing bottle is a wide mouth bottle, which is easy to wash and clean after use, and can be sterilized by boiling, soaking in chemical sterilizing solutions, or steaming in the microwave. Therefore, even dads (fathers) who are unaccustomed to cleaning and washing nursing bottles can manage the task.
In order to support breastfeeding, Pigeon offers a wide range of products to enable mothers to do a series of processes from pumping and preserving breast milk to feeding milk without feeling stress. We hope that our development of this nursing bottle that can be used comfortably by babies and easily by parents taking care of babies will contribute to establishing an environment where entire families can have fun participating in the breastfeeding process.
