  1. A Level 2 laboratory under Chinese state standards is a Biosafety Level 2 (BSL-2) laboratory constructed and managed under the Chinese state standard GB 19489-2008, “General Requirements for Laboratory Biosafety.” A laboratory of this type handles pathologic microorganisms which pose a medium-level latent danger to humans and the environment and limited risk of spreading more widely. It is designed to effectively handle and seal away these pathologic microorganisms posing a medium-level risk through strict engineering design, equipment, and operational procedures.
  2. The International Federation of Societies of Cosmetic Chemists (IFSCC) was founded in 1956 and counts cosmetic chemist societies from around the world among its membership.
