Donate our product to Tokyo Nursing Association (Japan - Pigeon Tahira)

2021.03.17

Pigeon Tahira Corporation, from April to May 2020, donated a total of 1,620 bottles of "Pigeon Aloe Lotion” to nurses at more than 300 hospitals and nursing homes through Tokyo Nursing Association*.

*Tokyo Nursing Association is a professional organization with over 49,000 nurses in Tokyo as members. It manages and implements training and academic conferences for nurses, and public interest programs such as childcare support events and parent education classes.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, especially in Tokyo as reported in the daily news, nurses are on the front line and are devoted to dealing with the situation.

In such a situation, we wondered if there was anything we could do to help. In fact, it would be desirable to provide hygiene products such as disinfectants, cleaning agents, disinfecting tissues, gloves, etc., but the stock of such products was very thin due to this pandemic.

Nevertheless, we still wondered what we could do to help, so we suggested to Tokyo Nurses Association that they could use "Pigeon Aloe Lotion" to prevent nurses from getting rough hands after disinfecting their hands, and we provided 300 bottles in April 2020. The 300 bottles were delivered to 17 facilities (hospitals, geriatric healthcare facilities, etc.). We received a great response from them, and in May, we provided an additional 1,320 bottles. In the end, we were able to deliver the products to nurses at more than 300 hospitals and nursing homes.

We would like to express our gratitude to Tokyo Nurses Association and other healthcare professionals across the country, as well as to all the stakeholders who cooperated in supplying the products.
We hope that this pandemic will be brought to an end as soon as possible.
